A trip down memory lane
I went shopping at Smart and Final last night for London's party. Right as we were about to get in, some kids asked me if I wanted to buy some chocolate. I looked at them and asked them:
Me: "What school do you go to?"
Them: "St. Augustine."
Me: "Oh really? I went to St. Augustine"
Them: "How old are you?"
Me: "25"
Them: "Gosh, you're old."
Me: "Ha! Yeah I am, I'll take two please. Good luck"
Them: "THANKS!"
Jos ended up buying two also...supporting our old school...who would've thunk it? ha ha ha...man, we're old.
I remember the days when WE used to sell these bars. "World's Finest Chocolate. These milk chocolate bars w/ almonds in them. If you sold 4 boxes(there were 36 bars to a box) then you got to go to disneyland. If you sold 5, you got to go to this big spin thing, PLUS the Disneyland trip. Jos and I attended that school for 8 years, so naturally, we didn't go EVERY year. The first years couple years, we just sold our required two...and watched everyone else go on the trip. One year, mom felt really bad and just paid for the 4 boxes and tried to sell them at work even after the fact(and remember it was me AND jos, so one couldn't go to disneyland w/o the other, so she actually bought 8 boxes). But after that, we almost always were able to sell 4 boxes easily, I guess the years of experience really helped out. One year, I sold 8 boxes I think, and I won a BMX bike in the spin thingy, it was cool. Sadly, the bike got stolen out of the garage by someone in our neighborhood. But yeah, chocolate and Disneyland...those were the days...
Thursday...I like thursdays for some reason...but I can't wait for Friday...
